Introduction

Hey folks!

Well I don't even know where to start.
I'm Vicky Dreamz, will be 23 years old in June and I'm living in Vienna (AUT).

I play guitar and my main influences are GnR, Aerosmith... well the old classic stuff.
So to kick this off, I'm in the middle of startin a band project - hard rock of course - with my pal Chrizzy, (Rythm guitar), Brandon (Bass) and (yet another) Chris on drums.
The search for a singer that would fit our stlye and genre seems like a hard fight with no or less luck but we are on it!

This is my first blog ever so bare with me, I don't even exactly know what I should write, about me? Or the band? or both?

Well, let's jump back a few years. It's late, pretty late 2008 October and I started to play guitar 'cause my cousin and my dad reintroduced me to GnR, so the first thing was to get a guitar and an amp. My first guitar was a cheap BEHRINGER Fender copy, a Behringer "EL Toro". (It was a cheap beginner's basic set.. guitar, amp, tuner some picks and a cable.) I didn't even know how to tune that thing, all I knew was that I wanted to rock it out. So in our school there was a music teacher and I asked him if he could teach me how to play.
Of course he wanted to start with the very basics, picking, first few chords etc...
I was very impatioent so I told him that I wanted to learn Sweet Child O Mine by GnR.
The next day he brought the TABS for the song, showed me how to play it and what I should practice. So I went home and learend the whole song. Of course I had problems with the solo as a beguinner, I practiced the whole day, for the next 1 or 2 weeks. The next thing I know, after about a month we are jamming sweet child and rock it all the way. When I went home I wanted to listen to GnR (but we didn't had internet) so I was sitting there all day with my guitar in my hands, and switching between MTV Rock, VH1 and VH1 Classics to hear at least one song. I still remember sitting there full of anticipation somethimes for 8 hours traight, only to hear 1 song. Sometimes it worked, sometimes it didn't... weeks and moths pass by and I've learen a bunch of other songs like Don't Cry, Nightrain, Paradise City and all the classics, but also other songs, some AC/DC, Metallica etc... I was so proud to be able to play them.. plus I bought an Epiphone Les Paul Standard of course.

We jump to 2008 December, School, Christmas gig with the scool band.
Setlist: a bunch of songs I don't like, some others that I didn't care about, and sweet child,
Since I practised every day and every hour I could I overtook one of my classmates who was playing for 2 years then. He was an asshole nad jealus type of guy, so when before we started sweet child, he pulled my cable out of the guitar input, and put me into the CD inpu... sounded great as you an imagine and that was my first gig ever, in front of around 750 people.  After that night I went home and I was so dissapointed.. every song worked out fine except sweet child.

And I just noticed that it's getting late and I have some things to do before I got to bed.
Waking up at 5am to get to work in time!

See ya in a few days folks! ;)
